Video: Amaniampomg SHS Hits Street to Sensitise Community on Tramadol Abuse

On Saturday 30th June 2018, Amaniampong SHS, “Kontonkyi, ɔboɔ a ɛhi akuma” of Ashanti- Mampong in collaboration with Dope Media Television(Dm- TV) Group did organize a durbar dubbed; “I Say No To Drugs- Tramadol Abuse”.


This program held on the school premises was in adherence with the directive issued by the the Regional Director of Education, Mrs. Mary Owusu Achiaw to all heads of Second Cycle schools within the Region,to organize a durbar sensitizing students and parents on the rapid tramadol abuse in the country especially in the Ashanti Region.

The students spearheaded by the school’s Literary Group together with the headmistress of the school, Mrs. Philomena Akyaa Brobbey known as “Ophilo” or “Feeling Mama” and some members of the teaching staff of the school floated through the principal streets of Ashanti- Mampong.


With single handled placards with the inscription of I Say No To Tramadol Abuse, they converged at the Silver Stool Palace of Daasebre Nana Osei Bonsu II, President of Mampong Traditional Council pledging their support as Students in the fight against tramadol abuse.

After such a remarkable campaign, all the students reported back to the durbar grounds where speakers who are expert in security, health and social welfare delivered well researched speeches on the causes and effects of the rampant abuse of Tramadol.
