UHAS Commissions a 1,200 Seater Auditorium

The University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), has commissioned a 1,200 seater assembly hall which was built by the Bank of Ghana.

Work on the theater began in 2014 and costs GH¢8 million, with two class rooms, two workplaces and a proposed banking hall.

It is named the “Cedi Auditorium” in perspective of the enormous venture from the Bank.

Justice Victor J.M. Dotse, Chairman of Council of the University, entrusted authorities to keep the structure intact for future generation.


Dr. Ernest Addison, Governor, Bank of Ghana, whose speech was read on his behalf, said the office was to enhance the University’s physical condition and furthermore improve its learning condition.

He said as a community of scholars, UHAS was relied upon to receive creative ways to deal with look into and disperse consequences of discoveries towards tending to societal issues.

Professor John Gyapong, Vice Chancellor, UHAS, said the construction of the auditorium became necessary when the School admitted its third batch of students.
